It’s hard to resist eating cake at every wedding, especially when you can smell the fondant 5 feet away! This colorful cake made by Cake Art in Salisbury, Maryland could not be left unseen, its colorful, playful design just brings a smile to my face and after taking a taste it almost brought tears to my eyes, so delicious and moist! On such a rainy dreary day today, there is nothing that brightens it up more than looking at this beautiful smiley baby boy! We were so lucky to have had our session bright and early Monday morning, since the forecast for the week is t-storms! For his first official picture this little guy was such a pro and I couldn’t have asked for a better model I hope to see him back next year for their family beach vacation!
I was ecstatic to find out that I would be traveling to western Maryland for Melody and Ryan’s engagement session. 
this bride and groom to be are just an amazing, athletic, super in love couple and I am honored to be a part of this time in their life. We covered a lot of ground this day and ended up at the spot where they met–the swimming pool at Frostburg State (they are the 3rd swim couple from their team to make it official!) This trip was totally worth all of the fun, congratulations Melody and Ryan! See you at the beach for your wedding this fall!
rarely do I get a mellow image of Chloe (almost 2). so this morning I was very happy to catch her in a calm mood.
I rarely partake in things like this, probably because running a business and being a mom leaves little down time. But now that the kids are in bed, I wanted to finally write a more personal post about 10 things that you may not know about me ( : (that’s all i have for now)…
1. i love our town Milton!
2. if I have the choice I will choose organic all the way.
3. i am way sillier than I lead on, it just takes a little bit to get it out of me
4. i used to be an animal person but then I had kids and now well you know, but I will trade for a day!
5. i love people, but I sure do love time to myself. It’s hard to come by these days with kids, so don’t be surprised if you see me at a matinee by myself, it’s my guilty pleasure.
6. i am that person singing at the top of my lungs on long car trips.
7. shopping relaxes me.
8. i love to cook when I can go all out with it and get all the cook books out.
9. being a mom has made me a super planner.
10. i love giving gifts more than receiving them.
Looking back at old blog posts I realized there were a couple sneak peeks that never got their final moment! As I pulled up the file for the Hammer Family I realized why I hadn’t narrowed it down — there were so many images that I loved it was too hard to decide which ones wouldn’t get posted!
I had the greatest time getting to know this family and hanging out with them for the evening. Because I have a son and a daughter as well it was fun to see the brother, sister relationship. It gave me a glance into my near future as my kids get older. This family is awesome and I look forward to photographing them many more times as the kid grow!
Little introduction needs to be made for this couple – they are a perfect match. a perfect compliment to each other. and they are my perfect client. Liz is an artist herself, and we found a location that fit her vision and mine perfectly! I am waiting in anticipation to see what she has planned for their wedding day. Nothing compares to the experience of becoming a mom for the first time. Your life changes in ways that you never imagined. The next best thing for me is that every year, one day after my birthday, I get reminded of that life changing experience as I celebrate my son Cameron’s birthday! Happy 4th birthday to my first baby, thank you for smiling every day, I love you!!
